The Armed Forces’ Christian Union is seeking a part (or full) time Communications Coordinator to start work in early 2026. The successful applicant will be responsible for the creation and execution of our communication strategies, managing marketing materials, and working with the Communications Director to drive consistent and engaging Christian messaging across all AFCU communication channels.
The successful candidate will be a graduate with experience in communications, marketing, and/or public relations. They will have knowledge of social media platforms, analytics tools, and content management systems and experience managing graphic design projects and working collaboratively with designers.
The candidate will have a strong Christian faith, a friendly and professional manner, and be a good team player. They will be expected to accept and sign the Union’s Basis of Belief and attend Office Prayers (online) to pray for our members and the wider military community. It is strongly desirable that they have at least some understanding of the UK military.
The job is flexible and, depending on the right candidate, could be three, four or five days a week. The FTE salary is £32,436. The contract will be for a 2 year fixed term.
