We are seeking an inspiring and compassionate Pastor to join our team leading us in faith, worship, and mission. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated, godly man to help us grow spiritually, engage with our local community, and nurture discipleship. You will be preaching, providing pastoral care, and engaging in evangelism. You will encourage new ways of outreach and church growth and be open to fresh ideas.

We are praying for someone with a deep love for Jesus, a passion for outreach and ministry, and proven pastoral and evangelistic gifting. If you long to see lives transformed by the gospel, this could be a great fit.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Biblically qualified elder (1 Tim 3, Titus 1).
  • Passionate about evangelism, discipleship, and church growth.
  • Experience in preaching and pastoral ministry.
  • Hold to the Evangelical Alliance statement of faith.
  • Theological training or equivalent ministry experience.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Car driver with own car

What We Offer:

  • Mentoring and support from our elders and leadership team.
  • Support and encouragement for ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Relocation cost support.

Occupational Requirements:

In line with Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010, it is an occupational requirement for the post-holder to:

  • Be an evangelical Christian, committed to the Church’s beliefs, ethos, and doctrinal distinctives.
  • Be male, in accordance with the Church’s theological convictions on male eldership and pastoral leadership.
  • Live locally and be a member of the church.

This role involves work with children and/or vulnerable adults. Dorchester Community Church is committed to safeguarding, and all applicants will be subject to appropriate vetting and disclosure checks.

This is a unique opportunity to grow and work in a prayer- and gospel-centred church. Join us as we proclaim Christ and seek to reach our community for Him!

About Dorchester Community Church

We are a Christian Church but not a part of any particular denomination. We believe the Bible is God’s Word for us today. “Celebrating and Sharing the Love of God” is our strap line or mission statement. We believe these seven words summarise what Jesus felt was the greatest commandment, and also what he shared with his followers by way of the Great Commission.

We are connected with MFG (Ministers Fellowship Global) and are members of the Evangelical Alliance, and subscribe to their statement of faith.
