Minister/Pastor

Salisbury Road Baptist Church is a welcoming, Bible-believing Baptist church in the heart of Plymouth seeking a Christ-centred minister to lead us into the next chapter of our life and ministry. We are a warm and supportive church family with a membership of around 50, a strong commitment to biblical teaching, and an active presence within our local community.

Having been without a minister for over three years, we have remained active and encouraged under the leadership of our deacons and church members. During this time, we have welcomed new members and celebrated baptisms. We are now looking for an effective and prayerful leader who can help us build on these foundations, bring fresh leadership and encouragement, and guide us as we seek God's vision for the future.

We are seeking a minister who loves Jesus, values people, and has a heart for helping others grow in their faith. The successful candidate will provide spiritual leadership, preach and teach God's Word, work alongside our deacons, and encourage the church in worship, discipleship, fellowship and outreach.

Our church has a long history of serving the local community through a range of ministries, including children's work, a parent-and-toddler group, a community café, Renew Wellbeing, care home ministry, and other outreach activities. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for seeing people encounter God's love and who will help us strengthen our connections with the community we serve.

We would particularly welcome applications from ministers who are Baptist Union Accredited, or who are eligible and willing to pursue accreditation. We value engagement with Baptists Together, the South West Baptist Association and continuing ministerial development.
