Accounting and Tax PA to the Senior Partners

Qualified accountant acting as Accounting and Tax PA to the partners with a minimum of 6 years’ experience– An opportunity to work on the south coast by to the south Downs in a quality environment for a fast expanding leading firm in the charity and not for profit sector.

The firm provide extensive services across both the charity and business sector. A full understanding of both direct and indirect taxation required

Duties:

1. Assisting the Partners with high level Accounting/Tax work and related correspondence.
2. Dealing with clients and being proactive in corresponding with HMRC and government departments.
3. Accounting and Tax research as necessary.
4. Finalisation of Statutory Accounts, Tax Returns and other Compliance work.
5. Assisting with supervision of senior staff and firms’ accounting department.
6. Assisting as necessary in the firms audit work reporting to the assistant audit manager.
7. Oversight and completion of VAT returns and management accounts.

Essential: 

• Ability to finalise financial statements and tax compliance work for small and medium sized enterprises.
• Strong knowledge of direct tax legislation.
• Qualified ACA/ACCA with a minimum of 6 years’ practice experience.
• Good understanding of accounting and auditing standards.
• Accurate and good working knowledge of accounting software packages.
• Good communication and IT skills able to deal with problems and clients’ needs.
• Driving licence and access to car.

Desirable:

Auditing experience.

Some understanding of Charity Accounting and Charity law.
