Administrator (Maternity Cover)

Administrator (Maternity Cover) to join One By One - a UK charity. This part-time role (15–20 hours per week, paid pro-rata) is home-based with regular meetings in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, starting November 2025.

The Administrator will provide vital support across fundraising, HR, communications and donor care — helping keep our mission to rescue, restore and rebuild lives running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

Administration and office support

- Act as the first point of contact for enquiries by phone, email and post.
- Maintain accurate electronic filing and records.
- Support donor care and keep databases up to date (Donorfy).
- Assist with finance admin, expenses and office supplies.
- Organise meetings, travel and events.
- Format and maintain policies/documents in line with brand guidelines.

Fundraising and communications support

- Provide admin support for fundraising campaigns and donor engagement.
- Assist with social media and website enquiries.
- Help coordinate events/exhibitions, including occasional evenings/weekends.

Support to the CEO

- Manage diary, travel and meeting arrangements.
- Prepare agendas, take minutes and follow up actions.
- Liaise with trustees, staff, consultants and external partners.
- Keep communication and organisation aligned to the CEO’s priorities.

Person specification

Essential

- At least two years’ administrative experience (charity experience desirable).
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and databases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Able to prioritise and work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible; willing to attend occasional evening/weekend events.

Desirable

- Experience with donor management systems (e.g. Donorfy).
- Previous charity sector experience.
