Brook Lane Community Church Seeking Full Time Pastor

Are you a spirit-lead pastor with a heart for community?

Brook Lane Community Church is an independent evangelical church with close links to other churches in the area. We are situated on the boundary of the boroughs of Bromley and Lewisham in SE London, where we serve our multicultural and economically diverse community. Our fellowship is comprised of many families and people of all ages who come together to join in vibrant worship on a Sunday and a wide range of activities throughout the week.

Our aim is to be a relevant and authentic expression of the Good News in our local area, and we are seeking a full or part-time pastor to join our elders as part of our leadership team.

To this end, as the church approaches its 100th anniversary we're looking for a gifted pastor whose strengths include:

  *  Preaching /teaching with practical application

  *  Helping to develop the individual and corporate prayer life of the congregation

  *  Building good relationships both within the church family and with individuals and organisations outside the church 

  *   A creative approach to outreach/evangelism

  *   The ability to encourage and equip the whole church to fulfil its calling.

Applicants must be UK citizens or otherwise have the right to work in the UK.

Our organisation encourages the active promotion of Christian values and beliefs in accordance with the Evangelical Alliance Statement of Faith. We believe that certain employment positions hold a Genuine Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 for the post holder to be of the Christian faith and a male member of a Christian Church.
