Emerging Church - Ministry Lead

Taunton Baptist Church (TBC) is a growing, multifaith Baptist Church in the centre of Taunton, Somerset. TBC is a member of the Baptist Union, and has active links with a number of other (including non Baptist) churches in Taunton. Many of the fellowship are involved with ministries in the town including street evangelism, foodback, chaplaincy, debt advice and street pastors.

As a Baptist church we affirm the Baptist Union of Great Britain's Declaration of Principle, the EA Statement of Faith and Nicene Creed.

Our purpose is to preach the Gospel, equip people and strengthen the Church, helping disciples to live out a Gospel-centred faith, hope and love, to the glory of God and the advancement of His Kingdom.

TBC has extensive facilitlies and as such is able to host groups and Christian events. The fellowship is intergenerational, with young families and retired people worshiping together. There are weekly Sunday services with groups for children and youth. At other times there are social groups such as toddlers, knit n natter, coffe plus and other monthly meetings including a group for men only that is growing. We welcome those of faith or no faith, those who agree with out theology or not.
